March 17 @ 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, repeating until March 24, 2021
At 6:30 each Wednesday during Lent, we are gathering—not through our website or through Facebook—but through Zoom. So the tone of these gatherings is a casual one. Imagine gathering in the living room of someone’s home for a conversation. Each week will have a specific theme that builds on Sunday’s worship. Generally Craig, other staff members, and elders will share something—maybe a video clip, a story, music, or something else—and then our time together involves reflection and discussion. There is no need to talk. However, we would love to see you.
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 3, 6:30-7:10 PM WHY HEALING MATTERS RIGHT NOW, a Zoom discussion with the Rev. Dr. Larry Toney (our speaker at the last all-church retreat)
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 10, 6:30-7:10 PM THREE SHOCKING CHILDREN’S BOOKS FOR ADULTS TO GROW BY, a Zoom discussion with Katrina and Craig Wansink, Michelle Bailey, and children of the church
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 17, 6:30-7:10 PM SONGS OF THE JOURNEY: IMMERSING OURSELVES IN MELODIES AND TEXTS OF THE LENTEN JOURNEY, a LIVESTREAM discussion with Bob Shoup
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 24, 6:30-7:10 PM EMBRACING THE SHUNNED: MISSION TO THOSE ON THE MARGINS, a Zoom discussion with Karen Jackson, founder of the Faith Inclusion Network, and Bob Shoup, founder of the Norfolk Street Choir Project
