Nursery and Childcare Information
The goal of the Second Presbyterian Nursery is to provide a safe, comfortable, and Christ-centered environment for infants and toddlers from birth to age five. For this reason, all of our nursery staff have been background checked. Nursery staff must have experience and/or training in working with infants and children. They are also CPR and first-aid certified, and have a COVID vaccine. Nursery workers will wear a mask when working with your children, and we recommend children aged 2 and older to wear a mask at this time as well.
Starting in September 2021, our nursery is now back open and ready for children! Staff is in the nursery ready to greet children and parents by 10:30 AM on Sunday mornings year round. Nursery services are also available for special events.
Most weeks a Bible lesson will be presented to older toddlers including crafts, games, stories, and music. The children join the congregation during worship for the Children’s Time of Discovery, except in circumstances of separation anxiety, in which case the child will stay in the nursery with one of the nursery attendants.
